Stara planina

The Stara Planina Mountain is located not far from the town of Knjaževac in eastern Serbia.The Stara Planina Mountain Range stretches towards Bulgaria and represents a natural border between Serbia and Bulgaria. This mountain has a gorgeous landscape and intact nature, and as such represents huge potential for the development of ski tourism.

This Serbian mountain is covered in snow for nearly five months. Its elevation is between 1 100 and 1 900 m.

The highest peak of Stara Planina and Serbia itself is Midžor, 2 169 m above sea level. The Babin Zub Ski Resort is 1 758 m above sea level. Ski trails in the Babin Zub Ski Resort are named Konjarnik, Sunčana dolina and Markova livada. It boasts over 13 km of excellent trails with different levels of difficulty, prepared for all categories of skiers.
